Building surveys including House purchase surveys
Detailed building and land use reports for both residential and commercial properties. These include construction analysis, service assessments and provide recommendations, advice on repairs and maintenance and associated costs.

The design brief
This is a very under-rated aspect of most commissions. Without defining the problem no adequate solution can be designed. The practice thoroughly researches every project before proceeding with the feasibility studies.

Feasibility studies
The preparation of various solutions based on the design brief including spatial and massing concepts, budget related design and budget cost forecasting.

Planning negotiations
The practice has an enviable reputation for negotiating and obtaining planning and listed building consents on difficult, small and complex sites especially within conservation areas and for listed buildings. The practice has gained a number of awards and commendations for its work.

Production drawings
The preparation of full production drawings including all structural design elements related to foundations, floors and roof components and any special requirements necessitated by the design criteria. The key production drawings are prepared in sufficient detail to enable Building Regulation approval to be obtained. After Building Regulation approval has been obtained detailed drawings, specifications and schedules are the next stage of work.

Contract administration
Selecting contractors, drawing up appropriate building contracts, inviting and calling tenders, tender analysis and letting the contract. Site inspections to quality control workmanship and materials and to ensure the building is constructed in accordance with the drawings. Cost control, programming and preparation of the project accounts.

Budget forecasting and cost control
The service is contractually tailored to control costs and construction periods. The practice considers costs are best controlled by the provision of fully worked out details of the building from the largest to the smallest element. The practice provides drawings in precise detail of virtually every aspect of the building leaving nothing to chance or guesswork on site or within the pricing.
